The Matriarch: An Erotic Super Hero Romance by Sloane Howell

Maggie Madison is twelve years old and her world is about to  change. Her parents decide they need to move to help others. They don't realize the city they are moving to is run by one man.  Kiril decides who stays and what they pay for the privilege. It takes time, but Maggie decides she will teach Kiril a lesson.

Powerful opening with an electrifying and fantastic story to follow. Very methodical with twists you can't imagine, this is a keeper.  The main story is direct, harsh and right on point. It also includes a romance. Together they give us one of the best books I've read in awhile.

I did find one issue. It's not as erotic as you may think. It does have some mild erotic scenes but you'll enjoy them.

I gave this one 4 cheers out of 5 because of the misleading title.

Vacuum by Ben Brown

Things seem to be going well for Jack and his family. They had everything you could want. Then we discover aliens.  No one knows what to expect of this new race of aliens. In no time, Jack's life becomes a nightmare.  Some crazy people decide the aliens are going to destroy Earth. Jack and his new friend Rex walk into a situation they never expected. Can they survive.

I love this alternate look at the end of the Earth. It's original and unique. Well written and characters you can relate to make this book even better. You will be surprised at the direction this book takes. This is one to add to your library. It's perfect for book clubs too.

     I found no issues.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because it's a fantastic read.

The Folly Under The Lake by Salema Nazzal

Walter and his wife Blanche are having a house party at Witton Park.  They want to show their friends the renovations they've made to the property. It seems like an ordinary house party until the storm hits. Things quickly go from lighthearted to a tense uncertainty. Something is definitely wrong here.

I have to say, the writing style of this book is undeveloped and sloppy. It's more of a puff piece than a mystery. There is no substance here. The story is disjointed and too simplistic. Conversations between characters seem endless and contain nothing. I can't recommend this one.

I gave this one 2 cheers out of 5 and I was being gracious.

Protector: The Flawed Series #3 by Becca J. Campbell

Jade Edwards is back home safe and sound. Logan just wants to keep her that way. He was worried Ethan might try to take Jade again. Meanwhile, Logan and Jade have been having more arguments since Jade came back home. Logan thinks the spats between them might be his fault . It's about this time more information about Ethan comes to light. Jade feels an obligation to share the news but Logan thinks they should wait.

This gripping tale will keep you rooted to your chair. Terrific characters, solid writing and a tight plot are all huge pluses here.  Ms Campbell knows just how to keep you guessing.  I love the romance and fantasy in this book. I got caught up in the story and couldn't walk away until I'd finished the book. This book has all the elements you need for a fantastic read. The Flawed Series is one you need in your library. Trust me, you have to get this one.

     I found no issues.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because this is a one of a kind story.

The Replacement by Jason Pellegrini

Patrick Sullivan is a cop. His career has been difficult at best. Living in Long Island, Patrick hoped things would get better. He's called in to replace a retiring detective. At first Patrick doesn't like the detective he's replacing. The guy wanted to train Patrick before he left. From there it becomes a nightmare.

Made it to page 100 before I started learning what the real story line was. This book has to much filler and not enough getting to the point. Thrilling, horrific, bloody and unimaginable make this a story you want to read. The characters were developed a little but could have used more definition.  The writing is good, just need to be able to pick one story line and go with it. This book reads as if the author had several ideas for books and included them all in here.  There are many things about the story that are never made clear.

    The issues above.

I gave this one 3 cheers out of 5 because of the issues listed.

Release Day for: MAN UP HUSBAND by Danielle Sibarium

Secrets are like explosives- hard to handle, dangerous and sometimes lethal.  A marriage with secrets is a marriage on the brink of destruction.
Falling for Troy Evans was a fairy tale. As real life took hold, things changed. Once upon a time, we couldn’t keep our hands off each other. Now we barely touch each other. Talking is close to impossible, until Troy turns the heat between us up a notch.  I’m falling in love with him all over again, but I have a secret. A secret I’m afraid will destroy us.
Marlena Madden was everything I could ever ask for. She’s smart and beautiful, my perfect match. I love her more than anything. Somehow we allowed married life and parenthood to swallow us up and come between us. Exploring ways to pull us out of the humdrum routine we fell into, we’re making our way back to each other. But I can’t help but feel there is something she’s not telling me. Something dark. Something that’s threatening to destroy us.

Man Up Party Boy by Danielle Sibarium

Noah was so looking forward to a week at the beach with his best friend Cooper.  It had been awhile since he had any down time and right now, Noah needed it.  At the last minute, Cooper decides he can't go. He arranges for his sister, Alexis, to go in his place.
Noah isn't thrilled with the idea. He doesn't want to waste a week at the beach babysitting.  He had no idea what his week would be like.  Alexis wasn't thrilled either.  Noah had hurt her when she was younger. Still, a week at the beach is an opportunity she couldn't miss. They'd each go their own way. The week might be more than either of them is ready for.

This book is perfect for some down time of your own.  The writing is flawless and the plotting makes this a fun read. You'll zip through it before you know it.  The characters are well defined and like-able. I felt as if I were at the beach with them. You are drawn in by the first page and you'll forget the time.  We've all had that one friend of a sibling's we didn't like. Ms. Sibarium makes it easy to see why Alexis doesn't like Noah.  This book isn't just for the beach, it's for anytime you want to take a little mental vacation.*smile* Be sure to get your copy today!

     I found no issues.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because it is a book to read over and  over.

Man UP Party Boy 99 Cents

Man Up Playboy by Danielle Sibarium

Cooper is a very easy going man. He lives life fast and loose. Most women would die just to have a date from Cooper, so he's puzzled when Selene isn't giving him the time of day. Cooper decides Selene is the one, at least for now, and begins trying to win her over. He doesn't seem to be making any progress with her. Never one to give up, he continues his full court press to get a date. Selene isn't sure about Cooper. She's known men like him before. Why put herself through all the hassles just to have him walk away. At least to Selene, Cooper seems like the type who doesn't stick around. Could she be wrong?

Volatile, passionate, explosive and erotic, this book has it all! I love this series. It is extremely well written and the characters leap off the page. I feel this book is perfect for anyone who likes lots of heat. I enjoyed the story. You'll find this book is a quick, easy read. Did I mention the heat? *smile* Ms. Sibarium knows how to capture your attention and hold it throughout the book. Her work is bestseller quality. If you haven't started this series, get to it. You won't be disappointed. Each book does stand alone, but together, they will warm up your day or night.

     I didn't find issues.

I gave this one 5 cheers out of 5 because you can't put it down once you start.
